BWPPA PRESS RELEASE

A New era begins for BWPPA tour

The 2018 British Wheelchair Pool Players Association season is only a few weeks away. Following the exciting “Search for a Q Star” initiative this promises to be the biggest and best year yet!

In January the BWPPA launched a brand new initiative “Search for a Q Star” in which any player ranked outside of the top 10 of the BWPPA main event rankings, along with those who previously haven’t been a member of the tour were eligible to apply for the scheme. All 9 applicants of this new initiative were successful in their application. This signals a positive step in the growth of wheelchair pool in the UK.

In a slight restructure, the tour will now consist of 4 ranking events and the first ever pan disability British Open in which pool players of all disabilities are able to compete.

Predator Cues and Simonis Cloth will continue their sponsorship of the BWPPA tour this year. The 2 giants of the billiards industry are among the longest serving sponsors of the tour.

There is still time left to join the world’s largest wheelchair pool tour! We encourage all wheelchair cue sports players to join from beginners to established snooker or pool players.

Entry to your first BWPPA event is FREE. Membership is just £20 per season or £5 per event.

Let’s rack and roll!
